Around 79 I did eat more than him. We went to Wallace. I was very shy and my dad payed and I couldn’t do anything but talk. I never told him that as I didn’t want to let him down. He got black lung from Hercules mine and it eventually got him.

Hi Heather, yes the secret door. It was right at the top of our stairs no knob just a key hole. Grandma passed away last December. 79 years old.

I am lee martins granddaughter. My grandma (honey) owned you and I. Short thin red head. We lived next door to it and had a secret door that was at the top of the stairs that she went back and forth. She raised me my sister and brother.

Hi Sammie, there are some pictures of the girls in the book, but I don’t think I included a picture of Teresa from the U&I in the late 1980s. You might try asking Butch Jacobson at the Mullan Museum, though.

Out of respect for the privacy of the girls and their families, I am limiting the number and kind of photos available in the book and online. But the book will contain more than forty pictures total, so I think most people will be happy with the balance I’m looking to strike.
